– Fruta Conquerors FC To Face GDF FC In Finals Tomorrow

 11th November, Georgetown: The STAG “Big Four” Tournament will wrap up tomorrow with a thrilling match-up between top elite teams, Fruta Conquerors FC vs GDF FC at the National Track and Field Centre, Leonora.

This follows their respective victories on Friday last in the semi-finals, that is, a 5 – 1 win for Fruta Conquerors FC against Victoria Kings and a 2 – 0 victory for GDF FC against Buxton United FC at the National Track and Field Centre, Leonora.

Eon Alleyne scored a hattrick for Fruta Conquerors while Anthony Abrams complemented with a double to whip Victoria Kings. Alleyne netted at the 6th, 78th and 84th minute and Anthony Abrams scored at 72nd and 82nd minute while Victoria Kings’ lone scorer was #22, Kenneth Oparaemetuche, 90+2 minute.

In the second semi-final, GDF FC outplayed Buxton United via a kick from the penalty mark in the 11-minute by Delroy Fraser and an own goal by Buxton United in the 19th minute

This sets the stage for the third-place game – Buxton United FC vs Victoria Kings – at 17:30hrs the finals at 20:00hrs.

The winner will pocket one million, five hundred thousand dollars (G$1,500,000); second-placed club will earn seven hundred thousand dollars (G$700,000) while the third and fourth-placed clubs will grab five hundred thousand dollars (G$500,000) and three hundred thousand dollars $300,000 respectively.

The “Big Four” is a knockout tournament among the four top clubs from Season II of the Stag Elite League. Gates will open at 15:30hrs and admission will be $500.00
