PRESS CONFERENCE: LAUNCH OF GFF-CORONA SUPER 16 YEAREND CLASSIC (Dec 9, 2017)

The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) launched an exciting year-end tournament –“GFF-Corona Super 16 Yearend Classic” – on Saturday, 9th December at the GFF’s Boardroom at 11:00hrs.

The press launch featured the following persons at the head table comprising of Top Brandz Distributors, Elite Clubs, Non-Elite Clubs, the Indigenous All-Stars team and GFF in the following order: Marvin Wray, Marketing and Promotions Manager (Top Brandz Distributors); Calvin Allen (Coach – Western Tigers FC); Lezhan Lord (Captain – Campton FC), Charles Collymore (rep – Indigenous All-Stars), Ian Alves (GFF’s Competitions Director) and Wayne Forde (GFF’s President).

The knockout football tournament is scheduled to commence on Friday, 15th December and will wrap up with a grand finals and third-place playoff on Monday, 1st January, 2018. It will feature 10 elite clubs, five of the country’s top non-elite clubs and an Indigenous All-Stars team.

As part of the grand finals, Top Brandz Distributors announced the performance of Jamaican Dance Hall artiste, Pop Caan on January 1, 2018

Ms. Debra Francis, GFF’s Communications and Public Relations Officer, chaired the event.
