PRESIDENT FORDE INSPECTS THE ONGOING WORK AT THE PROVIDENCE FORWARD PROJECT

– Guyana Football Federation National Training Centre

21st November, Georgetown: President of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF), Wayne Forde, last Monday paid a visit to the ongoing construction site of the GFF’s National Training Centre at Providence, East Bank Demerara.

The visit was made even as the Federation eagerly looks forward to the completion of Guyana’s first artificial turf, scheduled for January 2018.

During the visit, Forde was briefed by the local contractor (S. Nabi and Sons Ltd.) and, in an invited comment, said “the Executive Committee is pleased with the works underway at the GFF National Training Centre.”

The facility will be the new home for football development in Guyana at all levels and, at its completion, will be outfitted with dormitories, pool and other amenities necessary to enable the growth of the players and sport.

This initiative is part of the FIFA-Forward programme
