GUYANA TO FACE CURACAO AND US VIRGIN ISLANDS IN 2ND ROUND OF CFU 2016 SCOTIABANK CARIBBEAN MEN’S CUP CHAMPIONSHIP – – TOPS ROUND 5

1st April, 2016; Georgetown: As the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) 2016 Scotiabank Caribbean Men’s Cup Championship enters its second round, Guyana, who is in Group Three, will face Curacao on June 1 in Guyana and the United States Virgin Islands on June 7 in that country.

In Round One of the tournament Guyana had topped Group Five after defeating Anguilla 7 – 0 and Puerto Rico 1 – 0 in Guyana and Puerto Rico respectively.

The Second Round commences on June 1 and in addition to the Guyana match, the other matches to be played on that day are: Grenada vs Puerto Rico at the Grenada National Stadium; Martinique vs Guadeloupe at Stade Pierre Aliker (Martinique); French Guiana vs Bermuda at the Stade Dr Edmard Lama (French Guiana) and St. Kitts & Nevis vs Suriname at the Warner Park Stadium (St. Kitts).

Round Three is scheduled for October 3 – 9 and will consist of four groups, each with three countries. Thereafter the Fifth Place playoff will be held from November 7 – 15 and the Finals in May 2017. The top three of this tournament will qualify for the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
