GUYANA CLIMBS TO 131 IN FIFA/COCA-COLA WORLD RANKING

9th March, 2017; Georgetown: The Guyana Men’s National Team has climbed five places to 131 in the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking, according to the latest figures released on Thursday, 9th March.

Guyana remains 18th out of the 41 CONCACAF footballing nations, and 9th out of 25 national teams in the Caribbean Football Union.

“We look forward to the opportunity to drive Guyana’s senior men’s team towards the top 100 this year, as the Guyana Football Federation plans to organise several international friendly matches in 2017,” said GFF President Wayne Forde.

The FIFA/Coca-Cola Ranking, introduced in 1992, assesses national teams based on their performance in matches over a four-year period with a weighting towards more recent and more significant matches.
