Director of Competitions

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Management oversight of all GFF Competitions and Tournaments

• Communicate clearly with Officials, Referees, Coaches and Clubs regarding their expectations pre, during and post Competitions

• Monitor the compliance of GFF all Competitions Rules and Regulations as directed by the GFF

• Adopt a participative and collaborative style of management encouraging team work

• Develop a positive relationship with Sport Administrators at a Regional and National Level

• Supervise the maintenance records of all GFF Competitions in an orderly manner

• Act in the role of Club Licensing Manager of the GFF

Personal attributes & qualifications:

• Must possess leadership and management background

• Experience in organizing football competitions is a plus but not necessary

• Results oriented

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment

• Excellent personal presentation and proven high standard of oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to work considerably “out of hours”
Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years management experience

• Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Management, Project Management, Economics, or other related field

• Computer literacy in word processing and Microsoft Excel

Terms of Reference Director of Competitions-Guyana Football Federation

Reports to: The position reports to the General Secretary and Council of the GFF
Position Summary:

Responsible for Management oversight of all GFF Competitions/Tournaments, including but not limited to the Elite League, GFF Knock-out Tournaments and International Matches.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Management oversight of all GFF Competitions and Tournaments

• Coordinate with the Elite League Management Team to ensure efficient planning and execution of pre and post competition directives

• Ensure accountability for all inventory of equipment required, distributed and returned for GFF Competitions

• Communicate clearly with Officials, Referees, Coaches and Clubs regarding their expectations pre, during and post Competitions

• Monitor the compliance of GFF all Competitions Rules and Regulations as directed by the GFF

• Supervise the preparation and communication of Competition Schedules including Changes, Postponements and Cancellations of Competition Fixtures to Clubs, Officials, Referees

• Supervise the proper completion and receipt of all post-match documents, including but not limited to, Game Sheets, Referee Reports, etc.

• Adopt a participative and collaborative style of management encouraging team work.

• Cooperate with the directives of the GFF Competitions Committee and Executive /Normalization Committee
• Brief the General Secretary and Council regarding the all challenges and make appropriate recommendations as necessary.

• Develop a positive relationship with Sport Administrators at a Regional and National Level

• Supervise the maintenance records of all GFF Competitions in an orderly manner

• Act in the role of Club Licensing Manager of the GFF
