11th March, 2016: Georgetown: In an effort to boost youth attendance at football matches, which would ultimately lead to greater participation in the game of football, the Guyana Football Federation will launch a “Youth Ticket Initiative” on Monday, 14th March at the Sophia Special School, Dennis Street, Sophia.
While this launch coincides with Guyana’s upcoming Caribbean Football Union Caribbean Men’s Cup Tournament clash against Anguilla on March 22, it will apply for all football matches held under the aegis of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF).
This event will take place on Monday, 14th March at the Sophia Special School, Exhibition Complex, Sophia. This ceremony will begin at 11:00hrs and will include representatives from the school and Ministry of Education (MoE).
In a related event, as part of the public relations initiatives of the CFU tournament, representatives of the Golden Jaguars, including the coaches, will conduct a public appearance and interaction. This will involve the distribution of promotional items including jerseys and caps.
