PROGRAMME GOALS:
a) The nationwide league is to compliment the Academy Training Centre (ATC) program that was instituted by the Technical Director throughout the country. This is a structured youth development football program that focuses on boys between the ages of 14 – 16 years old
b) The ATC is part of the approved “GENERATION NEXT” FIFA development program. The young boys that are participating in this program will be players of the future. Over time they will evolve into the most competitive team Guyana has ever produced with the ultimate short term goal of becoming Champions of the Caribbean Football union (CFU)

OBJECTIVES:
a) To provide clubs with an opportunity to play football throughout the year
b) To develop the youth skills and abilities for local and international matches
c) To create opportunities for the youth officers to scout players
d) To give coaches an opportunity to work with youths and an invaluable chance to improve their craft
